Melinda “Mindy” Holman is Chairman of Holman Enterprises and represents the third generation of Holman leadership at the helm of this family-owned and operated business. As Chairman, she is responsible for overseeing more than 25 different operating companies, which include automobile dealerships in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida, a retail auto finance company, an automotive parts distributorship, a truck up-fitting business, and the largest privately-owned fleet management company in North America.
She joined the Holman organization in 1986 first as a management trainee and then as an F&I Manager with one of the company’s New Jersey dealerships. She subsequently went on to serve as the General Manager of different dealerships within the company throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, before becoming Vice Chair of the company in 1994. She was named President of Holman Automotive in 2002, CEO in 2004, and Chairman in 2015. Her leadership within the industry has not gone unnoticed; her awards and honors include the Ford Motor Company’s Salute to Dealers Award, which she received along with her father, Joseph Holman (2004); the Hall of Fame Award from NJBiz for the Holman organization’s long-term commitment to business success in New Jersey (2007); and the National Association of Women Business Owners’ “Shattered the Glass Ceiling Award” for advocating for women in business (2010). In all that she does, Mindy embodies and upholds the values established by her grandfather when he opened his first automotive dealership in 1924, which include an unyielding dedication to exceptional customer service and a devotion to giving back to the community. The Holman organization is especially committed to supporting community organizations both financially and through personal involvement and Mindy leads by example.
